Summary: This website gives some great insight into how to use digital storytelling in the classroom. I like the ideas that it gives about how to set up the purpose for using it in the classroom and especially how to make students successful when using it.

I have very little experience with flickr except for that I have been on it once or twice. This is an excellent resource and a great “how to” if you want to use Flickr in your classroom. The article gives five practical uses for a wiki in your classroom and gives a brief explanation of each use. It is very clearly written for people new to the wiki world. I use the wiki in all of the ways listed already and I agree that they are great ways to use a wiki as a teacher.
9. Website: Edutopia.org Summary: This is a blog post on edutopia discussing whether or not wikipedia should be used in the classroom. This blogger is in favor of its use and gives some good arguments in favor of using wikipedia. I think that using wikipedia is a good way to teach students how people from all over the world are collaborating today. I also think it leads to some excellent conversations about reliable sources and double checking facts you find on the Internet.
10. Website: The Professional Learner Summary: This article written by a Spanish teacher gives ideas based on a specific project his students are doing using Ning. I am very new to ning and have no opinions one way or the other, but I like that he says it is like a "closed" facebook where his students can collaborate.
Summary: This is an article that discusses the importance and the benefits of using facebook in teacher education courses. There are some good arguments for its use. Interesting article and worth the read!
12. Website:Clif's Notes Summary: This is a link to a slide show giving 31 ways to use google docs in the classroom! I have never used them in my classroom so I found this very useful. It is a quick and easy resource to get you thinking about using these tools with your class!
